I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have eight years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from an acute child, adolescent, and adult inpatient care, substance abuse treatment, and psychiatric emergency services. I treat mental health disorders through detailed psychiatric assessment, brief psychotherapeutic intervention, and medication management. Everyone has a different road to mental wellness and recovery, so treatment plans must be individualized. Therefore, I believe in creating a plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice resulting in the best possible outcome. My goal for my clients is to provide ethical and holistic care, and consequently, my client will feel empowered as masters of their care and future.
It is not uncommon to call an office directly to speak to make inquiries after you’ve done some research online about telehealth mental health care and our practice model. Sometimes, speaking with support staff can offer a wealth of information about the practice and let you know we can help you manage your symptoms. Our team members provide a welcoming and nurturing outlook to begin your journey to healing.
Patients and their families benefit from our convenient telehealth treatment model and the exceptional behavioral health services from our team of experts.
Telepsychiatry connects Providers with their patients via online video sessions. With telepsychiatry, there is no need for either patient or Provider to travel to an office. With a telepsychiatry platform, HIPAA-compliant video sessions can take place from anywhere – all that is needed is a broadband internet connection, a computer or laptop, and a webcam. This convenience expands the Providers’ availability and outreach and makes it easier for clients to participate from the comfort of their homes.
The client will meet with the provider for an extensive interview and psychiatric evaluation lasting about 45-60 minutes. During this, the Provider will gather some information, such as the history, symptoms, and family dynamics. Within this first session, the Provider will determine the best action plan to move forward.
Visits depend on multiple factors that are specific to each patient. On average, adult medication management follow-up appointments are initially scheduled at intervals of 2 weeks. After that, the timeline between follow-up appointments increases to 1 month and may expand from this point based
on the needs of the patient and the type(s) of medications prescribed.
